Book Hangover

February 06, 2018

Hi everyone!

One more post about books, I know.  For this one, I found an inspiration in Guillaume Musso’s book: “Call from an angel”. This book has put strong impression on me. I’ve read It almost 2 days and I liked It so much. But, what happened when I finished this book? Book hangover.

There is a definition for Book hangover and It says:

book hangover is condition in which attachment to a bookor series that has ended causes the reader traumatic emotional distress. It usually lasts for one to two weeks, or until a new book of higher-than-average quality enters the reader's life.

Well, book hangover is your condition when you read a book. You probably have a strong unknown feeling of sadness because you finished the story which you really liked. Just like you left the world where you previously was.  You broke up a relationship with book characters and you have to move on with your life. Exactly this feeling I have every time I finish a good book. The same situation was yesterday when I read “Call from an angel”. My impression is too strong , so I can’t start reading a new book soon.

Why is this book so special for me? What’s Its content?

New York, JFK Airport.
In a packed airport lounge, a man and a woman literally run into each other, spilling their belongings on the floor. After a brief shouting match, they go their separate ways.

Madeline and Jonathan have never met before, and should never have met again. However, as they hurried to collect their things, they switched mobile phones. When they realise their mistake, they are already more than 6,000 miles apart: She is a florist in Paris, and he owns a restaurant in San Francisco.

It doesn’t take long before they give in to temptation and explore the contents of each other’s phones. An indiscretion on both their parts, but which leads to an unexpected revelation: their lives are linked by a secret that both thought would stay buried forever…

Such an amazing thriller and love story. You will be surprised many times during the book reading.

I hope this hangover won’t last long, because I don’t want to feel bad anymore haha. You surely understand me.
